Lil Richye born Richye Porter was born February 3rd and the middle of five children. Lil Richye was the oldest member of the group PB3 with his two younger brothers, he left the group to go solo after two years. Even though Lil Richye isn’t in the group he hasn’t turned his back on his brothers and now writing their new music. He participated on Lifetime’s ‘The rap game’ in 2018 where he left because he couldn’t bring himself to battle and talk about another contestants family that was battling drug addiction and mental health. After leaving the show he began being mentored by grammy award winner Zaytoven. In 2019 Lil Richye wrote and published two books, ‘Big Brother Big Shoes’ a children’s book about the importance of being an older role model and ‘The no that meant go, GO HARDER!’ which is a motivational book. Lil Richye is also sponsored by the Charlotte Hornets where they travel to schools all around North and South Carolina talking to kids about the importance of education and following your dreams. Not only has Lil Richye added author to his resume but he is also a motivational speaker, humanitarian , advocate for the youth and is adding acting and modeling to his resume with some big projects dropping 2022. Lil Richye is also over the youth leadership team for Blessing Bags organization where they make bags of food and toiletries and distribute them to the homeless. At an early age Lil Richye has known what he wants, sticking by his morals of integrity while trying to change the world at the same time.

The Barings Book Bus is a full-service literacy bus and program that inspires elementary students ages 5 through 11 to develop a love for reading. Beginning Oct. 1, for the 2021 / 2022 school year, the Barings Book Bus will be available for in-person visits to elementary schools in Charlotte and surrounding areas. For more info click below.
